Jelle Boot was the Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS).

WCS is an international NGO whose mission is to save wildlife and wild places worldwide through science, conservation action, education, and inspiring people to value nature. In New York City, WCS manages 5 parks; the Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Queens Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and New York Aquarium.

Jelle oversaw WCS’s global HR function which leads, strategic and operational support to 5000 colleagues globally, talent acquisition, learning and talent management, compensation and benefits and HR operations and systems.

Prior to joining WCS in 2016, Jelle spent over 25 years working in different regions and countries around the world in roles of increased responsibility for International Companies like Philips Electronics, The Coca-Cola Company, Citigroup, MetLife, and the International Rescue Committee (IRC).

He holds a master’s degree in Sociology and Organization Development from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
