Kate Veenstra

Kate Veenstra is an experienced clinician and proven executive who delivers an exceptional patient experience through nursing innovation, accountability and professional development. She provides executive level management of nursing resources to accomplish clinical, financial, and quality objectives. In a wide range of roles with progressive responsibility, she has helped create a culture of ownership among staff who are engaged in evidence-based professional practice.

Veenstra is licensed by the state of Michigan as a registered nurse, with certification in medical-surgical nursing, biotherapy/chemotherapy, clinical nurse leader, and accredited RN case manager. She trained in Fast Track Decision-Making, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Six Sigma abd serves on multiple initiatives and committees for process integration and improvement. She is a longtime mentor to new nurses and nursing leaders and has participated in several short-term international medical missions.
