Kathy A. Miller Senior Director M&A, Cox Enterprises Kathy has a diverse background as a leader in the public and private sectors, for-profit and nonprofit, startups and Fortune 100 companies. She has extensive experience in IT, enterprise program management and M&A integrations. Industries include banking, fintech, retail, biomedical, and media. Currently at Cox Enterprises, Kathy has managed M&A integrations for over $1 billion of investments in companies innovating to help build a better future for the next generation. Companies span cleantech, public sector software and new journalism. Before that, Kathy advanced the practice of IT service delivery for Cox Media Group enabling local newspapers, TV, and radio to deliver news and in-depth journalism to their communities. Previous roles include leading large multi-year transformational initiatives at the American Red Cross and SunTrust Bank (now Truist). Kathy led teams responsible for implementation of highly complex technology solutions and cross-functional operational improvements while managing program offices of change management, training, communications, finance, and business and technical architecture. Her largest team at the Red Cross consisted of 1,000 dedicated members motivated by the mission of saving lives. Prior to her program successes, Kathy was responsible for the technology platform of the most-visited ecommerce site at the time where her focus was the advancement of homedepot.com’s distribution model and user experience. During the dot-com bubble Kathy led technology teams for two startups. She brought structure and disciplines to all three companies to help the rapidly growing organizations mature and deliver on customer commitments. Kathy volunteers as a mentor with Hire Heroes USA where she is passionate about supporting veterans and military spouses aiming to succeed in the civilian workforce. She graduated from Robert Morris University with a BS in Business Information Systems.
