Katie Clark Sieben serves as the Sr. Director of The Cargill Foundation, working to close the opportunity gap for BIPOC children in Cargill’s Twin Cities headquarters community through support of Childhood Nutrition, K-12 STEM Education and College and Career Readiness. Katie is also a Sr. Director in Global Corporate Responsibility, leading global employee engagement, diversity, equity and inclusion, grants operations and NGO partnerships, such as ONE’s Poverty is Sexist campaign, advocating for women and girls living in extreme poverty. In addition, she manages Cargill’s partnership with the Social Gastronomy (food justice) Movement and co-leads Cargill’s support of the U.S. Foreign Aid Budget through a partnership with the US Global Leadership Coalition.  She strategically supports Cargill leaders engaged in public interest and community service efforts.Prior to joining Cargill, Katie served as Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and Executive Director of the Minnesota Trade Office.  Katie also has experience in the private sector, working in Community Relations for the Target Corporation and a start-up wind energy developer, National Wind. Katie currently serves as a member of the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs Dean’s Advisory Board. She was a District Commissioner for the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), a founding member of the University of Minnesota Carlson School Global Institute Advisory Board, member of the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee and the Itasca Project, a community partnership that addresses regional economic vitality and improved prosperity. Katie graduated from the University of Minnesota and attended the Young American Leaders Program at Harvard University.  She lives in Edina, MN, with her husband, Dave, twin six-year-old daughters, Eleanor and Grace, and seven-month-old son, Maxwell.
