Katie East

Katie is a Partner with Mercer Health & Benefits in the Chicago office. Katie has more than 25 years of health care benefits experience in the employee benefits consulting field. Katie joined Mercer in 2008, after working for 14 years in the field at a national health care company; as an HR manager at an industrial supply distribution company; and an Employee Benefit consulting firm.

Katie leads client health and benefits strategy and execution, ensuring seamless service delivery of all project work, monitoring team performance, and ensuring overall quality control. She works as a strategic partner in developing and attaining clients’ short and long term goals and objectives. Recent client engagements include benefit harmonization projects, benefit program redesign and strategy development. 

Katie has held various leadership positions in the Chicago office, currently serving as the Large and Jumbo Market Leader for the Central Market.   In this role, Katie equips consultants with the skills and perspective they need to deliver relevant, timely advice and solutions that meet the needs of their large and complex clients.      Katie graduated from the John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts.
