Kelly Semrau

Kelly M. Semrau is a Senior Fellow in the Marketing & Communications Center at The Conference Board. She is the former Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Affairs, Communication, and Sustainability at SC Johnson, a global, fast-moving consumer goods and cleaning company with iconic brands such as Ziploc, Mrs. Myers, Windex, and many more. She led global advocacy and policy in all regions of the world with her teams of government relations, digital/media, communication, and sustainability.

During her 20-year tenure, SC Johnson was recognized as one of the top sustainably driven companies with greenhouse gas reductions far above the industry average. SC Johnson’s efforts ranged from advocating for industry disclosure of cleaning product ingredients to pushing for a systematic circular plastic approach for consumer products.

Prior to SC Johnson, Semrau worked as an Executive Vice President at Edelman and in the US government on the Hill and in the Administration in Washington, DC.
