Laura Zelenko is Senior Executive Editor at Bloomberg overseeing standards, diversity, talent, and training across Bloomberg's global newsroom. As part of her role, Laura set out a comprehensive initiative -- New Voices -- to improve gender and racial representation on every platform, including a tracking system for sourcing and an intensive, worldwide media training program for women and other diverse executives. Within the newsroom, she works with managers to make meaningful progress toward gender parity and increased racial and ethnic diversity at every level and leads new training, recruiting, and development efforts to meet those goals. Laura began working for Bloomberg 30 years ago in Prague and spent a decade opening and running all of Bloomberg's original bureaus in Eastern Europe and Russia. She went on to oversee Bloomberg's Latin America teams in seven countries; launch the company's first global emerging markets team; run all bond, stock, and currency reporting around the world; and ultimately oversee all global beat reporting teams. She is a graduate of Princeton University with a BA in politics and has two adult children who live in Los Angeles.
