Laurie Mitchell boasts over 28 years of experience spearheading employer population health programs, currently serving as part of an integrated team tasked with developing, implementing, and overseeing Unum's population health strategy. In this capacity, Laurie and her colleagues oversee the holistic well-being—physical, financial, and emotional—of Unum's 10,000 employees and their families across the U.S., U.K., and Ireland.

Her responsibilities encompass developing targeted programs, policies, and environmental initiatives that promote health both within and beyond the workplace. She works closely with business leaders to identify and address specific workforce health and productivity challenges. Key aspects of her work include leveraging digital and virtual solutions to improve care accessibility and affordability, and engaging employees in these programs to achieve better health outcomes.

Before joining Unum, Laurie held similar roles at MaineHealth, Public Service Enterprise Group, and Mount Sinai Beth Israel. She also ran a private nutrition practice in NYC, focusing on weight management and cardiovascular risk reduction.
