Laurie Shumake – Vice President, Global Talent Management @ TD SYNNEX

My passion is in empowering others to find their path and use their full potential through my beliefs of
ongoing learning, listening and helping each one of us “do good, be good”. I believe that humility and
curiosity are the ‘gateways’ to inclusive leadership. My passion is creating organizational cultures that
enable each one of us to be at their best, creating equity and belonging.
I’ve had the pleasure of working in a variety of contexts, including individually-owned businesses, startups,
as well as multi-national/global Fortune companies like Newmont Corporation, Western Union, and
TD SYNNEX. My current role as Vice President, Global Talent Management includes a focus on
Leadership Development, Talent Analytics, Engagement, Recognition, Performance, Talent
Review/Succession Planning, and Culture.

A bit about me: I am born/raised a Coloradan, am a wife, a mom to a 7th grader; I’m often a short-order
(and gourmet) cook/chef, a barre-workout and outdoors fanatic, a Samoyed dog ‘guardian’, and a dog
obedience/behavior modification counselor. My work has taken me to places including Indonesia,
Ghana, Lithuania, Spain, Costa Rica, Peru, as well as the Nunavut territory in Canada – these experiences
have helped me further my understanding and awareness of global challenges, humanity and the
diversity around the world.
