Marc Sokol, PhD, is the Program Director for the Talent Management Executives Council II at The Conference Board. As an organizational psychologist, for the past 30 years Marc Sokol has worked with leaders and companies across North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa.   

 

Having worked with virtually every C-level leadership role reporting to the CEO, Marc has consulted to and partnered with boards, CEOs, presidents, chairs, and vice-chairs, helping them extend impact across the firms they lead. He is seasoned in a wide range of talent management services including executive coaching, assessment, 360-degree feedback, team development and facilitation, succession planning, leadership development and organizational change.

 

Marc’s career extends across the public and private sectors, working with large and small companies, and as a member of senior leadership. He led several business units at Personnel Decisions International, holding regional, expatriate and global roles. Previously he worked at the US Office of Personnel Management as well as AT&T and Bell Laboratories. Through these experiences, along with more than ten years as the owner of Sage Consulting Resources, he has had the opportunity to discover what really makes a difference in talent management and organizational effectiveness. 

 

Marc holds a doctoral degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park.  He is co-author of several books, including, Negotiation: Creating agreements in business and life and Strategic Workforce Planning: Best practices and emerging directions. In recognition of his career accomplishments, he has been awarded status a fellow by the American Psychological Association, by two of its divisions, the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology, and the Society of Consulting Psychology, as well by the International Society of Coaching Psychology.
