Maureen Brundage is a Program Director for The Conference Board. She has experience in the boardroom and in leading legal groups at both a large multinational public company and an international law firm.

Maureen is a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of MAPFRE U.S.A. Corp., the U.S. holding company of MAPFRE S.A., the global insurance company.  She also is a director and Audit Committee member of MAPFRE’s subsidiaries, The Commerce Insurance Company, Massachusetts’ largest private passenger automobile insurance writer, and Citation Insurance Company.  In addition, she serves as a Board member of Jersey Battered Women's Service, Inc. and is Chair of its Compensation Committee.

Maureen also provides advisory and coaching services as a Senior Advisor with BarkerGilmore LLC, which specializes in legal and compliance recruiting, advisory and coaching services.  In addition, she serves as a Corporate Advisor to The Dana Foundation and Senior External Editor of its Cerebrum publication.  She also is a frequent speaker on such topics as risk and strategy in the boardroom, leadership, cybersecurity governance and managing mergers.

Maureen was Executive Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary & Chief Ethics Officer of The Chubb Corporation, a $14 billion NYSE traded, global property and casualty insurance company which had offices in 25 countries. She managed a worldwide team of 135, overseeing legal, regulatory, compliance, government affairs and corporate secretarial functions. She retired from Chubb in 2016 after over 10 years as a result of its acquisition.   

Prior to Chubb, Maureen was a partner and head of the 150+ member Global Securities Law Practice Group at White & Case LLP, one of the world’s largest law firms, which she joined after law school. In addition to leading the group, she worked with U.S. and international companies in diverse industries on initial public offerings and other securities offerings, mergers, divestitures and other corporate transactions, as well as advising on corporate governance, crisis management, SEC reporting, and general corporate matters. 

Maureen graduated from New York University School of Law, where she was editor-in-chief of its Annual Survey of American Law.  She earned her B.A. in Economics from Fordham University, graduating summa cum laude, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She also spent a year at The London School of Economics.
