Senior Director, Corporate Affairs
Mars
Maureen Pratt leads Corporate Affairs for Mars Global Services, the 3,000-person shared services division of Mars, where she oversees internal and external communications, change strategy, stakeholder engagement, branding and executive visibility. Pratt has built a career leading change across a variety of industries – defense consulting, engineering and construction, and now at Mars – telling the powerful story of a five-generation family-owned business with products and services loved by people and pets. Passionate about employee advocacy, authentic executive engagement, and celebration of company culture – she has worked in various capacities at Mars since joining in 2015, including as global change communications lead for the overhaul of the business operating model, leading communication for various acquisitions and the launch of the Mars Sustainable in a Generation plan. Pratt brought her passion for storytelling to Mars Petcare in 2018 where she led global strategic business communication responsible for amplifying the countless ways that Associates bring the Petcare Purpose: A Better World for Pets to life. She led the communication launch of the current Petcare strategy, refresh of the corporate visual brand, and managing communications during several veterinary acquisitions. Pratt joined Mars from Bechtel, where she led employee engagement campaigns and executive communication, and was change lead for the company’s $1.5B Human Resources overhaul. Previously, she held strategy and change communications roles in consulting (Booz Allen Hamilton) and political and nonprofit fundraising in various Washington DC-based organizations. She has an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a bachelor’s degree in English from St. Norbert College. In her free time, Pratt chases her puppy, a Lagotto Romagnolo named Dama, and loves exercising, learning about new cultures, and spending time with family and friends over great food and wine.
