Mel Bandler

Mel Bandler is passionate about equitable access and systems change. She has advocated for climate justice with grassroots organizations focused on food apartheid and nutrition education as well as advised Fortune 500 corporate strategy focused on responsible sourcing, capacity building and sustainability education. She was named a 2020 Woman of Influence in the Food Industry by the Griffin’s Report. Most recently she has led climate education and supplier engagement for the Estee Lauder Companies (ELC) to help achieve their Science Based Targets. Mel also serves on the Advisory Board of the Loopt Foundation, which aims to educate and tackle pre-consumer waste at a systems level. She holds degrees in public health and French, graduating summa cum laude from Rutgers University.
