Assurant

Michael is the Senior Vice President, Total Rewards and Wellbeing at Assurant responsible for the design and execution of all compensation, equity, benefits, wellbeing, recognition and mobility programs globally. He is also responsible for liaising with the Compensation and Talent Committee of Assurant’s Board of Directors.

Prior to this role, he served in Rewards leadership positions at Morgan Stanley, E*TRADE Financial and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Prior to moving into corporate HR, he was a Rewards consultant at AON, Willis Towers Watson and PwC, advising numerous clients on their Rewards and Human Capital challenges. In addition, he has held positions in marketing, business development and finance throughout his career.

Michael is a key member of the Assurant HR Senior Leadership Team. He is a member of the Total Rewards Leaders Board at the Institute for Corporate Productivity and currently serves on the advisory council. Michael received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed the LGBTQ Executive Leadership Program at Stanford Business School.

He lives in New York City with his husband Gregory and their Irish Doodle, Marty Bialy.  Outside of work Michael enjoys good food, great conversation, reading, art, music and travel.
