Michael Moon

Dr. Michael Moon is an organizational psychologist and people analytics expert who specializes in applying analytics and evidenced-based approaches to the management of people. She has nearly 20 years of experience working in HR and HR Technology, as an analyst, practitioner, researcher and consultant. Prior to joining Viasat as the Director of People Analytics Michael worked as the Director, Global Learning Experience and People Analytics at Align Technology and as the Director, People Insights at ADP, supporting ADP DataCloud product adoption through the delivery of custom consulting services to ADP clients. Michael is also an active conference speaker and conducts research and writes on a range of topics including HR analytics, organizational culture, workplace motivation, organizational network analysis, employee engagement/experience, DEI and wellbeing. She is a Lecturer in the HCM Master’s program in the School of Professional Studies at Columbia University and is currently pursuing an MS in Data Science from Eastern University. Michael earned her PhD in Human Capital Management from Bellevue University and an MS in Human Resources from Suffolk University. She was named one of the Top 100 HR Tech Influencers of 2019 by Human Resource Executive®. She currently resides in Tempe, AZ with her two cats, Timmie and Phoebe.
