Michael Ruckstuhl

Michael is the Council Director for the European Tax Executives Council and an International Tax Partner at PwC Switzerland. Starting his career in the Transfer Pricing team at KPMG, he joined PwC in 2011. Michael spent two years at PwC in New York and has over 17 years of experience in international tax consultancy.  Michael is a certified Swiss tax expert and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Zurich University. He is fluent in English and German and communicates in French and Italian.

Michael has a strong international tax background and has gained extensive experience in leading complex cross-border tax and M&A projects for multinational companies in a wide range of activities. He advises clients on acquisitions, disposals, domestic and cross-border reorganizations, migrations including the establishment of financing, IP, principal, trading and holding company platforms as well as obtaining of tax holidays.

Due to its international client base, Michael also gained expertise in international tax developments such as the OECD work on BEPS or the EU’s tax agenda as well as value chain transformation projects, transfer pricing as well as tax transparency, and controversy.
