Dr. Michele Halyard

Dr. Michele Halyard serves as the Dean of the Arizona Campus of the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine Dr. Halyard earned her BS and M.D. degree from Howard University, where she also completed her residency in radiation oncology. Dr. Halyard completed her fellowship in radiation oncology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is the past chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology and has also been in a member of the highest governing boards of Mayo Clinic. Dr. Halyard is a professor of radiation oncology. Her area of expertise is in the treatment of breast cancer and head and neck cancer. Her primary research area of expertise is the use of quality of life data and patient reported outcomes in cancer clinical practice.
