Michelle Gethers is Visa’s Chief Diversity Officer, Head of Corporate Responsibility and the Vice Chair of Visa Foundation. She leads the company’s global strategy on philanthropy, inclusive and diverse talent, social impact, and ESG/sustainability. She is a lifelong advocate for economic mobility and how it can establish generational change for individuals and communities. Prior to joining Visa, Michelle served as the President and CEO of the United Way of Greater Greensboro where she and her team focused on equity partnerships to end poverty.

In addition, Michelle spent 20+ years at American Express where she held a variety of roles up to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Card Operations.

Her accomplishments have been featured in Fortune, Working Mothers, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, on CNBC and as a TEDx Greensboro speaker.
