Michelle Sim is currently the Director of Sustainability at Sempra, responsible for development and implementation of Sempra’s sustainability vision, strategy, and business priorities. Since joining the Sempra family of companies in 2013, she has served in various energy, strategic growth initiatives, and environmental policy development roles including clean transportation, building codes and standards, and the energy transition towards lower carbon energy solutions and technologies such as renewable natural gas, hydrogen, and carbon capture. Based in San Diego, California, she is at the forefront of leading Sempra's aim to advance the global energy transition.

She has served as an expert in various industry/government agency partnerships such as the California Fuel Cell Partnership and the Department of Energy’s Appliance Standards and Rulemaking Federal Advisory Committee, appointed by the then-U.S. Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz. She is actively engaged with various industry leading committees and dialogues to advance sustainable business practices such as the Conference Board, the World Economic Forum and more.
