Michelle LaMarche Smith

Michelle LaMarche Smith is the Senior Member Engagement Director for the Committee for Economic Development (CED) of The Conference Board. She is responsible for managing the member portfolio in the Center, and serves as a strategic partner to member companies helping them address business challenges via Center assets. 

Michelle joined the Center in 2019 and served as the interim Center Leader for 6 months  Before her current role, she’s spent a decade as the Regional Director of Membership in the southeast for The Conference Board.

Prior to joining The Conference Board in 2007, Michelle spent most of her career in marketing and sales at Hewlett-Packard Company. She is a graduate of Clemson University with a BS in Financial Management and an MS in Industrial Management. Michelle resides in Atlanta.
