Monica Ward is the Sr. Manager of Wellness and Health Equity and has responsibility for the management of wellness programs covering approximately 101,000 employees at United. Her team manages a broad scope of wellness programs and engagement, including cancer, diabetes, and women’s health, and onsite clinical experiences at United’s hubs. Her team is responsible for designing best-in-class wellness experiences and ensuring care is accessible to everyone.

Monica and her team are leading change with a deep focus on access, affordability, and education, and by creating local wellness champions throughout the system. Her team leverages analytics to build meaningful approaches that address top health priorities, intervene for those at higher risk, and improve population health at United.

Prior to joining United, Monica held several healthcare management roles focused on healthcare strategy, design, delivery, compliance, mergers, acquisitions, negotiations, harmonization, change management, communications, and payroll. 

Monica holds an MBA from DeVry University and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Illinois of Urbana-Champaign.
