Dr. Taiwo is Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of 3M where he is responsible for the development of 3M’s global health strategy, as well as the leadership and management of the medical organization. Prior to joining 3M, Dr. Taiwo was on faculty at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut for 17 years. Dr. Taiwo is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Preventive Medicine (Occupational Medicine). He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Dr. Taiwo received his medical degree from University of Lagos, Nigeria, and his master’s degree in public health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, Alabama. He completed residency training in internal medicine at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee, and fellowship training in occupational and environmental medicine at Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut. Dr. Taiwo’s areas of professional interest include understanding the factors associated with health disparities in the workforce and conducting health impact assessments of industrial projects and policies on the population. He serves on the board of directors of American Cancer Society and Canvas Health. Bode enjoys traveling with his family and playing the electric bass guitar.
