As Vice President, Global Research and Development and Sustainability for Avery Dennison, Materials Group, Pascale Wautelet oversees seven corporate and regional R&D centers and teams worldwide, provides strategic vision and innovation direction to over 400 scientists and drives an innovative pipeline of products and solutions. She is a passionate
advocate for Sustainability and leads the Materials business’s global Sustainability agenda. Pascale served as Chairman for the EMEA D&I counsel and is currently a WBCSD council member.

Pascale joined Avery Dennison in 2017 after more than 20 years of international and domestic experience across multiple functions in the chemical/petrochemical/plastic industry, including flexible packaging and labeling. She also served as Global Technology Director at Jindal Films, overseeing corporate innovation and research and development across Europe and North America and with ExxonMobil, where she held leadership positions in Sales, Operations, Innovation and R&D.

Pascale earned her Ph.D. in materials and polymer chemistry and physics and a master’s degree in polymer chemistry at the University Louis Pasteur of Strasbourg, France. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium.
