Patrick Gibbs is a social economist and charity founder with a background in technology commercial management.

In his current role as Collaborative Development & Partnerships Manager, he is responsible for Anglo American’s partnerships strategy for social impact within the company’s host regions. He is the global lead for Anglo American's employee volunteering programme, Ambassadors for Good, and leads strategic projects in the Socio-Economic Development function.

Prior to this Patrick was Global Supply Advisor where he was responsible for strategic sourcing and commercial contract negotiation of technology solutions, working predominantly on Data Analytics, Cyber Security and Marketing – Anglo American’s shipping and trading business.

Aside from work at Anglo American, Patrick is co-founder and Chair of Trustees of The Favela Foundation, a UK registered charity that works with NGOs in favelas in Brazil.

Patrick graduated with a BA Hons in French and Portuguese from the University of Nottingham, holds and Executive MSc in Social Business and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics and Political Science and qualifications in Business Sustainability Management from Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, Commercial & Contract Management and is a CELTA qualified teacher.
