Peter (Pete) Quigney is the Program Director for the Financial Planning & Analysis Council, the Corporate Controllers Council, and the Procurement Executives Council at The Conference Board. Pete has also led the Supplier Diversity Leadership Council, Purchasing and Supply Leadership Council, Council of CFOs, Global Council of Investor Relations Executives, and Council of Corporate Treasurers. Prior to his role as Program Director, he served as the Chairperson of The Conference Board Purchasing and Supply Leadership Council for five years, and joined as a founding member.
Pete began his 32 year career with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in NYC, as a financial analyst in the Brokerage Industry of EDS. He served as Vice President of Finance and Administration for the EDS Federal Government group responsible for over 650 professionals performing finance, accounting, human resources, information technology, real-estate and security activities. In 1985, he was transferred to Dallas and was promoted to Assistant Corporate Controller, responsible for all financial management, analyses and budgetary for EDS worldwide with revenues of over $12 billion dollars. During this tenure, he was responsible for presenting all monthly, quarterly and annual finance reporting and budgeting to the EDS Board of Directors.
Pete continued in his financial capacity with a key role in the GM acquisition of EDS for the next several years, and in 1997 he was appointed Vice President of Purchasing for EDS, responsible for global acquisitions of $10 billion dollars of products and services.
