Responsibilities

Pete is the System Executive Director of Total Rewards for the enterprise since 2019, he works in the COH Florida office. He has consulted and worked in total rewards for the past 30 years and has held the top total rewards position in a variety of organizations over the past 22 years.  Pete specializes in the design, administration and communication of total rewards programs and policies globally.

Experience

Pete’s background includes developing and executing “best practice” total rewards strategies that support business growth, as well as leading the implementation of innovative total rewards plan design changes that generated significant savings for his organizations while improving employee perception of the impacted programs.

Pete has worked across a wide variety of industries including oil & gas, manufacturing, aerospace, health insurance, health care, and consumer packaged goods. Some of his previous employers include Halliburton, Baptist Health of Northeast Florida, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Sequa, and Acosta Sales and Marketing.

Pete has meaningful experience developing and implementing compensation and benefit plans, including retirement and health & wellness program design changes that have resulted in a substantial savings for his organizations, as well as many spin-offs, acquisitions, and mergers.

Education

Pete holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of North Texas.

Pete holds the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), as well as holding the designation of Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA); he is a member of both groups.

Pete helped establish the ASPPA Benefits Council of Dallas and was the Past President of that organization, as well as the Past President of the ASPPA Benefits Council of North Florida.

Pete was an adjunct professor and lectured on employee benefits at the University of North Florida for several years and is a frequent presenter at national conferences on benefit related topics.

Personal

Pete lives in Lantana, Florida with his wife Julie and their twenty-one year old twins, Hunter and Ava. He enjoys cycling, golfing, and playing tennis with his family.
