Head of Activism and Shareholder Advisory for the Americas
Pete is head of the Activism and Shareholder Advisory practice in the Americas. He advises clients on a range of complex and contested shareholder matters, including those involving shareholder activism, hostile Mergers & Acquisitions, governance challenges, and complex environmental and social issues.
Pete rejoined Goldman Sachs in 2018, having previously worked at the firm from 2005 until 2014 as a member of the Industrials, Natural Resources and Healthcare industry Groups and the Mergers Leadership Group. He was named managing director in 2012.
Prior to rejoining the firm, Pete was a partner and president of CamberView Partners. During his tenure, he led CamberView's Contested Situations and Activism Defense practice and West Region coverage efforts, as well as managed the advisory team and key infrastructure roles.
Earlier in his career, Pete was an investment banking associate and analyst at Merrill Lynch from 2004 to 2005 and from 1999 to 2001.
Pete earned a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Claremont McKenna College in 1999 and McKenna College in 1999 and a JD from Harvard Law School in 2004.
