Phyllis Gallay

Phyllis Gallay is the Program Director for the Shared Services Council as of January 1, 2025. Prior to her retirement in September 2023, Phyllis spent the past 12 years as a Vice President with Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD), a global medical technology company.

Phyllis was a member of BD’s Technology & Global Services Leadership Team (TGS), where she initially led the multifunctional global service centers in the US, Chile, Poland, and Malaysia. As the Global Shared Services Executive, she was responsible for advancing BD’s shared services business strategy and expanding its service delivery and technical capabilities. In her most recent role, she led the Functional Excellence Team responsible for fiscal management, global governance & standards, strategic planning oversight, establishing cultural and operational models, and supplier & contract management. Phyllis also served as Program Sponsor for the TGS early talent program and was a member of BD’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council.

Prior to joining BD, Phyllis was a Senior Executive with Accenture and held progressive leadership positions with Chase Cardmember Services. 

Phyllis currently serves on the San Antonio Medical Foundation Board and the SA100 Board. She has previously served on numerous nonprofit boards and remains engaged in a variety of community service programs. In 2017, she had the honor of serving as Chairperson of the Board for the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. 

Phyllis holds a BA in economics from SUNY Stony Brook and an MBA from Hofstra University.
