Rajiv is an experienced business professional with nearly 30 years’ experience in marketing, sales, human resources, and general management with two multinational consumer goods companies, Unilever plc and S.C. Johnson & Son (SCJ).
During his 18 years with Unilever, his roles included Brand Manager/Marketing Manager (India), Marketing Controller (China), Sales Director (Vietnam) and HR Director (USA).
At SCJ, Rajiv was Regional Sales Director, Asia and the founding Managing Director of the South Asia business then. In this position, he created a successful organization with revenue of approximately USD100 million and 700 employees across the 5 countries of the region.
Rajiv’s approach has always been consumer and customer-driven, and his focus was to hone consumer-centric marketing strategies to drive sustainable growth across product categories of the two companies which included Food & Beverage, Hygiene Products and Home & Personal Care.
Rajiv also has a keen interest in education and he returned to the field after SCJ to serve for five years as head of a K-12 international school with 1250 students and 175 staff, an assignment – engaging with and developing young minds – he found very rewarding.
