Dr. Raymond Hwang is Senior Medical Director at Hinge Health. Dr. Hwang is also a board-certified spine surgeon and Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine, a reviewer for The Spine Journal, Spine and Global Spine Journal and serves on the Institutional Review Board, Physician Advisory Council, Perioperative Executive Products Committee and Musculoskeletal Steering Committee at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts. He has over 12 years of clinical experience as an attending spine surgeon and over a decade of experience as an advisor to innovative healthcare and medtech companies. Dr. Hwang earned his BS and MEng in computer science and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his MD from Harvard Medical School, underwent residency training at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program, completed his fellowship in spine surgery at New England Baptist Hospital, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a beach volleyball enthusiast and an amateur behavioral economist.
