The Conference Board
Rémi Bourgeot is the Principal Economist for Europe with the Conference Board.
After completing his studies in aerospace engineering (ISAE-SupAéro) in 2007, he received a Master’s degree in econometrics from the Toulouse School of Economics in 2008 and a PhD from EHESS in Paris, in 2019.
Since 2008, he has been leading a career as an economist, data scientist and technology expert with leading think tanks and private research firms. He also worked in the asset management industry from 2011 to 2014, as an investment strategist specialized in fixed income and currencies, in the Euro zone and emerging markets.
His approach addresses the combined challenges of monetary stability and technological development. He has contributed to academic books on Europe's political economic and industrial model as well as on the issue of energy diversification. He has been analyzing an array of industrial sectors over the years, including energy, electronics (with a focus on semiconductors), aerospace, and health.
He regularly appears in the international news media and writes opinion pieces for France’s main newspapers to comment on economic and technological developments.
