Robin Renschen is Director of Learning and Development for McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., one of America’s oldest and largest privately-held construction companies. An award-winning and industry-recognized learning and organizational development leader, Renschen has more than 25 years of experience aligning learning and performance objectives to business strategy and delivering quantifiable results. Since joining McCarthy in 2008, Renschen has been instrumental in developing the firm’s award-winning McCarthy Build U® training and development program. As a result, Training magazine inducted McCarthy into the Training Top 10 Hall of Fame amongst other top 10 global training organizations for the builder’s leading approach. Prior to joining McCarthy, Renschen spearheaded Wieland University at John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, leading the company to six consecutive Training Top 125 Awards from 2003-2008, including two Best Practice honors. In addition to his responsibilities with McCarthy, Renschen is also actively involved with training and workforce development for the broader construction industry. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for NCCER (National Center for Construction Education Research) and served as chairman of the national Training, Education & Development (TED) Forum Steering Committee for the Associated General Contractors of America.
