Rupert Bader is the group director of Walmart Workforce Intelligence. In this role, Rupert leads a team of workforce strategy & analytics professionals that helps Walmart’s leaders make smarter, data-driven decisions about the size, shape and location of the workforce.

Rupert has more than 25 years of human resources experience, but only recently celebrated his first year at Walmart. Prior to joining the company, Rupert was VP of Human Capital Planning at Anaplan, and previously led the People Insight functions at Expedia, Microsoft, Avaya and Towers Perrin – most of which included different elements of Workforce Intelligence and Planning.

Rupert also created and taught the University of Washington section on Workforce Planning & Analytics as part of their Human Resources Certificate in the School of Professional and Continuing Education.   He has developed a wealth of different skills from his education at the Wharton School, his experiences in the consulting and financial services industries, and his passion for improving the quality of people decisions with clear & connected data.

He grew up in Worcester, in the United Kingdom, and lives in Martinsville, NJ with his wife, Betty.  Their son is well-underway in his skills journey, pursuing mechanical and aerospace engineering while also continuing to explore the literature of humanity and the music of New York City.
