Ryan Vinelli is the Chief Privacy Officer at Blackhawk Network, a global financial incentives company. His work focuses on data protection, information security and ensuring a global approach to data.

Prior to joining Blackhawk Network, Ryan held Privacy leadership positions at Finance of America Companies and Western Union. Ryan also led legal cybersecurity initiatives and matters for Verizon Media supporting brands including Yahoo, Aol and Tumblr and a wide range of data protection issues as counsel at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. and upon acquisition at Marriott Hotels International. Ryan began his career in data protection as privacy counsel for General Electric.

Ryan is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in computer science from Tufts University. Ryan is licensed to practice law in multiple states and is a registered Patent attorney.
