Sal Venegas

Sal Venegas is Vice President, Global Talent Management & Employee Experience for Walgreens Boots Alliance.  Sal joined Walgreens in 2003 as an instructional designer and held several human resources roles, including leading talent acquisition, management and development for the company’s 240,000 team members.  Since 2017, Sal has led global talent management, organizational effectiveness and leadership development for Walgreens Boots Alliance, Walgreens parent company and the first global pharmacy-led, health and wellbeing enterprise.  Prior to Walgreens, he was a senior project manager at Cognitive Arts and a Vice-President of AIESEC Polska, a not-for-profit based in Warsaw, Poland.

Sal earned a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs and Spanish from Marquette University.  He has previously served on the Association for Talent Development’s U.S. Public Policy Advisory Council and is currently on the board of advisors for AIESEC at Northwestern University. He is also an active volunteer and host parent with AFS USA, a international student exchange organization. Sal resides in the Chicago area with his family.
