Sally E. Borte

With over 40 years experience consulting to employers on employee benefit issues, Sally specializes in mid-market employers with 500 to 5,000 employees who have complex benefit needs. Her focus is on creating strategies to help employers provide quality, sustainable benefits for their employees and families. One area of particular interest is paid leave, as her clients in the Pacific Northwest have had to navigate the new State required paid family and medical leave programs. This has included analysis of current benefits provided and how they integrate with the new State plans, and advice on the structure, or restructure, of paid time off and disability benefits. She created a proprietary model for analysis of the various State programs and how the new benefits impact individual employees, integrate with existing short term disability programs and the expected annual cost for both employer and employees. Sally works with a variety of industries, with focus on higher education, manufacturing, healthcare and employers with unionized employees. She is an expert in self insured health plans, and all types of benefit plan designs. Sally resides in the Seattle area and when not working you will find her walking the many local trails, enjoying a good book or cooking a fine meal!
