Samantha Hillstrom is the head of employee experience at Blue Apron, overseeing internal communications, employee engagement, and workplace experience for nearly 2,000 employees nationwide. Before her role at Blue Apron, she oversaw internal communications at Etsy, Meetup, and the NYU School of Medicine's Department of Population Health. Samantha started her career in television news, where she was a producer in domestic primetime news at CNN. She was awarded a Peabody Award as part of CNN's coverage in the 2008 Presidential Election.

Samantha is a certified crisis counselor as well as a certified birth doula and childbirth educator. She graduated cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College with a bachelor's degree in communication arts.
