Dr. Shaibal Roy is the Sustainability Strategy Leader at Momentive Performance Materials Inc., a specialty Silicone materials company based in Waterford, NY. At Momentive, he is responsible for leading Momentive towards its vision of providing Solutions for a Sustainable World™ by collaborating with stakeholders to develop and execute the strategy, objectives, and roadmap for Momentive’s corporate Sustainability program.

Prior to Momentive, Shaibal worked as Sustainability Environmental Engineer at FMC, an agrochemical company based in Philadelphia, and was responsible for technical analysis, guidance, and management of Environmental Sustainability activities. Shaibal also spent time with Chemours, DuPont, and Bayer working in diverse areas including manufacturing, R&D, techno-economic evaluations, and technical marketing in global locations such as the US, Germany, and India.  He earned his Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis, the USA, and his Bachelors's from IIT Kharagpur, India, both in Chemical engineering. He also worked as a post-doctoral fellow at RWTH Aachen, Germany working on developing carbon nanotube-supported catalysts. Shaibal is also a Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professional through American Centre for Life Cycle Assessment.
