Sibusisiwe is a seasoned public servant committed to mobilizing disenfranchised communities through partnerships and public policy. She serves as Director of the Newark Anchor Collaborative (NAC),an action-oriented collaborative comprised of private and public institutional leaders dedicated to Newark’s equitable growth. Sibusisiwe is responsible for developing and advancing NAC’s shared agenda, which includes a Hire, Buy, Live Local strategy, and overseeing its collective action. 

Prior to joining the Newark Alliance, Sibusisiwe served as National Urban Fellow in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Department at Prudential where she executed a local procurement summit and a CSR impact analysis of Prudential’s grantmaking. Sibusisiwe previously served as Executive Director for the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus (MBLLC) where she expanded its impact by advancing legislation, developing strategic partnerships, and improving public communications. Under her stewardship, the MBLLC successfully secured policy victories in legislation related to the state budget, racial justice, criminal justice reform, cannabis regulation, and equal pay. As Executive Director, Sibusisiwe spearheaded several MBLLC partnerships including a multi-caucus collaborative committee and a student engagement pilot initiative for students of color in partnership with the Massachusetts State Senate and Boston Public Schools. 

Prior to joining the MBLLC, Sibusisiwe held roles in the Office of State Senator Chang-Diaz (D-MA), electoral campaigns, and educational nonprofits. Sibusisiwe holds an M.A. in Public Policy from Tufts University, and an M.A. in Public Administration from Baruch College.
