Simon Dawson

Simon lives in Yorkshire UK and is father to Sam (14) and Lottie (12). After 20 years in sales and commercial leadership roles in the medical device industry, Simon found his passion for coaching whilst training to become an internal coach at Medtronic. He hasn't looked back. Simon went on to certify with the Co-Active Training Institute as a Co-Active Professional Certified Coach (CPCC). Simon holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching and a PCC accreditation with the International Coach Federation. Simon will complete his Masters in Coaching and Behavioural Change at Henley Business School in 2021. As Head of the Coaching Centre of Expertise at Medtronic, Simon takes an active role in the operation of the practice, as well as coaching within it. In 2021, Simon completed his research thesis on the distal influence of an internal coach certification program on the coach themselves.The research explored how coach training has influenced these leaders in their lives beyond the acquistion of the skills of coaching. When he is not involved in coaching related activity, Simon has a passion for the mountains and is often found in the Yorkshire Dales with Ollie (his 2 year old Cockapoo). As well as spending time with family and friends, Simon loves music and is attempting to learn to play the guitar (with mixed success).
