Dr. Becker, Chief Medical Officer National Accounts at Cigna has a passion for transforming organizations through delivery of collaborative care models, change management initiatives, and the provision of quality patient care at affordable costs.

Dr. Becker joined Cigna on September 18, 2023, and leads the team of National Accounts Medical Executives who deliver clinical analysis and strategic direction for potential and existing National Accounts clients. She will also work directly with her own book of clients.

Dr. Becker is Board certified in Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty in Infectious Disease. She brings deep subject matter expertise and experience in Healthcare Delivery, to enable the provision of quality patient care at affordable costs while optimizing the patient experience, and improving value for patients, providers, and payers.

Most recently, Dr. Becker worked for Willis Towers Watson as Senior Director Health Management where she delivered measurable results for clients through delivery of actionable insights gained through data analysis. A recent example was the creation of an innovative obesity strategy for clients which resulted in the development of a support tool and weight management product with over 100 clients in pipeline, and 40 completed client pilot projects reflecting a positive ROI.

During her time as a consultant at Berglund and Associates, she served as Medicare Advisory Consultant to large national hospital systems including Mayo Health System, Northwestern, and Scripps.

As VP of Healthcare Strategies for National Accounts at United Healthcare (UHG), she served as subject matter expert in Infectious Diseases focused on Sepsis and presented findings to the American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation, and collaborated with CMS, Department of Health and Human Services Secretary, Alex Azar and Adam Boehler on sepsis guideline and policy creation. She introduced Sepsis Value Based Contracting, negotiating with provider systems across the nation.

Dr. Becker assumed a key role on the Chief Health Equity Officer’s Women’s Health Initiative to address inequities in women’s healthcare focused on pregnancy and neonates. This work led to the creation of a national system to identify women’s health specialists to address access to prenatal care. Additionally, she played a critical role in creating a pilot - addressing populations with existing or new risk factors during pregnancy for focused management of these conditions and piloted the early deployment of remote patient monitoring for earlier identification of issues to be addressed by their providers or case managers.

Dr Becker has deep experience in working with complex and large clients; in addition, she is co-author of the book ‘Artificial Intelligence in Health Care’ with Kerrie Holley (AI Technology Lead at Optum Tech). She currently sits on the CMO Advisory Board and DFW Business Group Depression Advisory Group.
