Stanley C. Middleman is the founder and CEO of Freedom Mortgage Corporation, one of the largest and fastest-growing full-service mortgage companies in the country. He is a nationally recognized business strategist, investor and philanthropist with over 30 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry. Since founding Freedom Mortgage in 1990, Mr. Middleman has grown the company into one of the nation’s largest U.S. originators and servicers and a top VA and FHA (government-insured) lender.

Mr. Middleman is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), where he serves on both the MBA Board of Directors and the MBA Residential Board of Governors. He has also served on numerous advisory boards in the mortgage industry, including the boards of Freddie Mac and Ellie Mae. He is currently a member of the Housing Policy Executive Council. Mr. Middleman also serves on several non-profit boards, including the Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Foundation Board of Overseers.

In January, Freedom Mortgage was honored with the 2021 Top Workplaces USA Award. Last year, the company was named a 2020 Top Workplace by the Indianapolis Star for the fifth year in a row and a Top Workplace by The Philadelphia Inquirer. Previously, Freedom Mortgage was ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies for six consecutive years.

Earlier this year, Mr. Middleman was identified by South Jersey Business Magazine as a top CEO. Last year, Glassdoor named him the fifth highest-rated CEO for leading his employees and the company during the COVID-19 pandemic. He was also honored with the Most Admired CEOs 2020 award by the Philadelphia Business Journal. Mr. Middleman was the recipient of the 2019 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Greater Philadelphia Award in the financial services category. A strong supporter of U.S. servicemen and veterans, he received the 2018 Liberty USO Chairman’s Award in honor of his company’s service to the military community in Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey. In 2019, Mr. Middleman was named the American Cancer Society of Southern New Jersey Individual Honoree of the Year. He is also recipient of the Temple University Fox School of Business Corporate Award and the Fox School of Business Centennial Award.
