The Conference Board
Steve Forrey is the Chief Financial Officer for The Conference Board. He has over 30 years of financial expertise and has overall responsibility for the financial management of the business, including statutory compliance in all regions of operations—the United States, Belgium & the EU, China, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, and the Gulf. Steve is also responsible for the management of the information technology and facilities organizations at The Conference Board. As treasurer, Steve is responsible for managing the company’s financial assets and ensuring its liquidity and financial stability. In partnership with the finance committee, he also oversees the company’s $60 million investment portfolio.
Prior to joining The Conference Board, Steve spent five years as the Vice President of Finance for Catapult Consultants, LLC. There Steve controlled and supervised all areas of Catapult’s internal Finance, Accounting, and Contract Operations to include preparing all Financial Statements, Corporate Income and Business Tax Returns, Government Incurred Cost Submissions, and Project/Job Revenue and Profit Projections. Steve was also responsible for all Government Accounting Compliance to include DCAA, FAR, and CAS requirements. Steve successfully managed multiple Incurred Costs Audits with DCAA and other government agencies as well as multiple Contract Audits with the GSA and Independent Audits with outside CPA firms. In addition, Steve was also responsible for preparing and pricing all of Catapult’s Federal Government Business Proposals which in 4 years helped grow Catapult from $2.3M in Sales to over $18.1M. This growth allowed Catapult to be recognized in INC. Magazine as one of the 500 fastest growing companies for 3 years in a row.
Steve also spent 11 years as the Corporate Controller and Director of Finance for Bradson Corporation. There Steve controlled and supervised the internal Finance and Accounting Operations and also helped grow the organization from $4.0M in Sales to over $37.0M.
Steve received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
