As Global Lead for the Bristol Myers Squibb Network of Women, Thalia is responsible for leading the global strategy and execution of gender related diversity and inclusion priorities. Prior to her role as Global Lead for B-NOW, Thalia completed a three year tour of duty at the Global Capabilities Hub in Switzerland in the Worldwide Commercialization Team. “Roughly up to 80% of household healthcare decisions are made by women, and women are more likely to take care of family members when they get sick. It is critically important to BMS’ mission to deliver transformational medicines to patients to have women at the table making decisions and executing on those decisions.” Thalia started her career with BMS in 1998 in Sales in the Neuroscience division. She was promoted into roles of increasing responsibility in Learning and Development, Marketing, and the Worldwide Commercialization Business Unit. Immediately before joining BMS, Thalia worked for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, where she had responsibility for contracting provider networks for the northern Indiana Service area. Prior to joining Anthem, Thalia held roles in direct patient care systems. Thalia holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry from South Carolina State University.
