Vikki Walton is a Senior Principal, and Health Equity Leader in the MercerWELL practice based out of the Chicago Office. She leads the Health Equity Center of Excellence, working alongside a team of subject matter experts to drive advancements in Health Equity within employer benefits. This includes working with clients to develop a  comprehensive solution-based approach assessing inclusive benefits, removing barriers to access, ensuring quality care and addressing social determinants of health (SDoH), all leading to improved health outcomes for employees.

Vikki recently joined Mercer with over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, where she advised US business and commercial leaders on the dynamic policy and political environmental impacts of health inequities and ESG policies. As a Health Equity expert, Vikki has consistently developed and executed Health Equity policy platforms that prioritize sustainable principles and measurable outcomes for populations affected by health disparities, with a particular focus on the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH). She has successfully crafted and implemented comprehensive multi-year strategic roadmaps that encompass Health Equity policies, aligning them with business objectives. These roadmaps involve fostering internal cross-functional collaborations to shape the healthcare landscape, while ensuring equitable and high-quality healthcare for all. Vikki's expertise also extends to the development of State Medicaid and payer Health Equity strategies, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing Health Equity and driving positive change for vulnerable populations.

Vikki has led numerous corporate DEI efforts, is an award-winning national healthcare speaker and serves on a host of boards and committees in her community focused on marginalized communities.

Vikki earned a MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN and her BBA from Howard University, Washington, DC. She also has a High-Performance Leadership Certification from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
