Vincent Giolito is Professor of Strategy and Organization at emlyon business school, a top-10 management school worldwide in FT rankings, where he focuses his teaching and research on “Transformations in strategizing and organizing” in times of unprecedented changes in technology, the planet, and society. For example, he examines how leadership – specifically servant leadership – emerges as a key element for developing innovative and successful firms; how leaders should react when strategies unexpectedly fail; and how complex interactions between teams in the field and senior leaders (including boards) may foster or impede innovation and performance.
Vincent regularly conducts research in world-class firms (retail, finance, consumer goods, etc.) and has published in top academic journals (Journal of Business Ethics, Strategic Organization) and newspapers and magazines in France and Belgium (Le Figaro, Le Soir, Harvard Business Review) and several chapters and books, including one on strategic errors in digital transformation. Vincent holds an MBA from Insead, a DBA from Université Paris-Dauphine and a PhD from Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management.
