Dr. Wilk is Chief Executive Officer of Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM) one of the three largest Polish humanitarian NGOs, with more than 18 years of experience in humanitarian and development aid, including 11 years with the United Nations. Dr. Wilk worked with UNHCR in Kosovo and UN Office for Coordination in Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Egypt, Sudan, South Sudan, Zimbabwe and Nepal, as well as in the UN Secretariat in New York. As CEO of PCPM since 2012, he oversees PCPM’s work in Ukraine, supervising humanitarian response to the refugees in Poland and displaced populations in Ukraine. In 2022 PCPM has implemented humanitarian aid programs valued over $50 million funded by CARE, NRC, UNHCR, UNICEF and other partners both in Poland and Ukraine, but also in other countries affected by the refugee movements, such as Latvia and Mongolia. With CARE's support, PCPM works with Polish local authorities to extend social services to Ukrainian refugees (92% of refugees are women and children) and employs over 1,500 Ukrainian refugees as additional staff in Polish public schools and social assistance centers.
