Xiaowei is a seasoned senior executive with global, regional (Asia Pacific) and China experiences, insights and network, and has a track record of working in both State-owned Enterprise in China and Shell in multiple countries. She has over 25 years of experiences in stakeholder engagement, media relations, advocacy, sustainability and risk/issue/crisis management, led projects and campaigns that won global awards and recognitions internally and externally.
During her over two decades of tenure at Shell, Xiaowei led external relations teams of various sizes at country, regional and global business level and held various elective roles across China, the UK, and the Netherlands. Most recently, she was the Regional Vice President for External Relations, Asia Pacific based in Singapore.
Xiaowei serves the World Energy Council as their Asia Director for Special Project, she also serves as a Board Member of the Marketing Society Singapore, and the Advisory Board of GGEF, a social enterprise promoting sustainability.
Xiaowei has a bachelor’s degree in art and social science from Beijing Foreign Studies University, China and a master’s degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK. She is fluent in Chinese and English and currently resides in Singapore with her family.
