Yuan Gao is a senior economist at The Conference Board China Center for Economics and Business. He is responsible for much of the Center’s research on China's economy and business environment and has done extensive research on the country’s labor market, SOE sector, and provincial and city-level economic performance.
Gao joined the Center from IHS Global Insight. Before that he conducted research on labor markets for the Kansas State Department of Labor in the United States. He received a PhD in economics from Kansas State University, where he focused on macroeconomics and applied econometrics.
