Alison Maitland is a Research Fellow in Human Capital at The Conference Board. She is also an executive coach, author, speaker and facilitator with a focus on leadership, inclusion and sustainability. A former Financial Times journalist, she is co-author of three books about organizational and societal change: INdivisible, Future Work, and Why Women Mean Business. As a Professional Certified Coach (ICF), she supports leaders and emerging leaders to fulfil their potential to address their organizations’ and the world’s biggest challenges. 

Based in the UK, Alison has spoken and facilitated at public conferences and internal corporate events around the world and has been widely interviewed on topics relating to gender, inclusion and the future of work. She is a former Vice Chair of International Women’s Forum UK and an active member of its Racial Equity Special Interest Group.

In addition to her books, Alison’s writings include chapters for two other books: ‘The Power of Everyone: Why the work revolution demands a fresh focus on inclusion’ (Work in the Age of Data, BBVA 2020) and ‘A Gender Power Shift in the Making’ (Reinventing the Company in the Digital Age, BBVA 2015). She also contributed a case study, ‘Reviving purpose’, to the book Climate Change Coaching: The Power of Connection to Create Climate Action (OUP, 2022)

Alison is a recipient of the "Women Who Make a Difference" Award from the International Women’s Forum, and the "World of Difference 100 Award" from The International Alliance for Women.
